European Projects
Karpos helps partners from Europe to develop and implement projects with a European or worldwide perspective. The aim is to mobilize European support for the development of intercultural exchanges and the transfer of know-how in the fields of youth, communication, arts and local development.  Since its foundation, Karpos takes part in European projects as a partner or a media expert.

If you wish to develop a European project, to apply to a call for proposals, or find a partner in Greece, please contact:

The Videomuseums' exchanges
The European aspect of our Videomuseums project, involves exchanges of students and teachers in Greece and Germany. We have already completed two workshops during 2011, one in Frankfurt and one in Athens, which experimented with training in mixed groups in the video and theater area. Both film and theater language were approached by groups in different themes. In Athens we focused in creating short documentaries in less than three days and in Frankfurt we worked in combining theater play, photography and live video.
The project is initiated by a Commenious Regio Programme, 2010-2012.

Women and Eco-citizenship in Europe, Europe for Citizens 2008

KARPOS is collaborating as media consultant and technical adviser in this project developed in the framework of the EU Program "Europe for Citizen". This project gave the opportunity to 16 women from Europe, acting locally for the environment, to produce their own "video-portrait"

Stranger Festival
Video workshop for the Stranger Festival

Stranger Festival is an initiative of the European Cultural Foundation, an international organisation that promotes creativity for young people for the past twenty years throughout the world. Karpos was a collaborative partner for two years and created a film workshop for young people aged 15-25 years in Lavrio (Attica province). In October, 2009, three young people that created a short film during the summer workshop, traveled to the Netherlands and participated in the International Festival "Don't be a Stranger".

 Green Voices
KARPOS took part in organising the workshop "Green Voices" in Greece, an initiative of the International Institute of Yehudi Menuhin.
In 15 - 19 October 2009, a group of artists from different countries with varying professional backgrounds, visited Athens in order to give two workshops (one for adults and one for children) and a presentation on "Polydoros Art Studio Mabrida" in Koropi. This program is part of a European action held in different European countries (Denmark, Spain, Italy and Greece) and its purpose is the use of art as "a bridge that connects humans with nature". The basic prerequisite is the multicultural and interdisciplinary nature of the creative process which aims at workshops and performances that flourish due to in-situ, direct collaboration.

The project has been funded with support from the European Commission.
