Ston Motion Animation and Digital Narrative

Children have the opportunity to experiment with the Stop Motion technique using different materials to create their own little animation movies. With basic protagonist their own imagination, they build the script, the scenery and turn the world into a magical place!

4day filmaking worshop
2-5 January 2017
We practice point of view and directorial look, we deal with how ideas can turn to short narratives, how we interpret a role and how to make a real shooting. How one tells a story without words and what changes when we add short dialogues or thoughts to our characters? What is the role of music? Young filmmakers answer the above questions through small cinematic creations.

From History to the Monachus-Monachus seal
2016
Held by Karpos and Maria Leonida this hands on workshop aimed at developing teachers skills in creating new narratives for an unknown space, such as the historical and distant island of Gyaros with images and sounds. Teachers recorded their ideas for a project and created a fantastic image and soundscape of Gyaros. The aim was to combine details of the natural landscape and the human-animal-landscape relationship.

The Programme Future Library, sponsored by the ISP. Stavros Niarchos, strengthened and activated 72 Public Libraries in a creative campaign. The aim of the program is to make libraries brainstorming places and learning through enjoyable and innovative actions. Karpos participated for three years by implementing image based labs, adopted to library spaces involving digital media, drawing and written expression..
